Picnic Cake

Cream: 2/3 Cup Shortening
1 Cup Sugar
2 Eggs
1 Tsp. Vanilla
Add: 1 3/4 Cup Flour
1 Tablespoon Cocoa
1/2 Tsp. Salt
1/2 Cup Chocolate Chips
1/2 Cup Chopped Nuts
1 Tsp. Baking Soda
1 Cup Hot Water

Mix Well. Pour into 9x12 cake pan (greased and floured). Sprinkle on top 1/2 cup chocolate chips and 1/2 cup chopped nuts.
Bake 20 minutes 350 degrees
